On August 4, a delegation headed by the President Wang Fengming visited China Geological Survey and had a deep discussion with the authorities there on issues including the innovation of geological technology, the development of preponderant subjects and cultivation of talents.
Wang Fengming said that since the renaming, Hebei GEO University has been strengthening the connection with land departments by positively taking part in national land resources surveys; HGU will keep participating in such projects and hope China Geological Survey can give us more support and opportunities of cooperation.
By affirming HGU’s achievements on talents cultivation and our clear planning for further development, Zhong Ziran, Head of China Geological Survey, indicated that China Geological Survey will keep cooperating with and supporting HGU. He also gave some opinions on the improvement of the university.
Before this, Wang Fengming had visited China Geological Survey for one time on June 21. During that time, the two sides shared views on the improvement of subjects of HGU, the conduction and development of geological surveys, expressing the will of conducting more extensive cooperation in various fields of geological survey.
